 Happy Australia Day! Thank you to our new friends, Cass and Wayne, for hosting an Australia Day breakfast BBQ so we could meet some of the teachers from Griffith East Public School. It is more relaxing knowing that there will be some familiar faces tomorrow morning and it looks like it will be a great year! Happy Australia Day, everyone!

I hope you enjoyed your first day of work! We also celebrated Australia Day. The Conlans brought in Lamingtons for everyone--absolutely delicious! The girls also played the Australian national anthem over the intercom with their ipod. The Australian flag is flying over the "Exchange" bulletin board!

We had a wonderful supper on Australia Day with Vince, Mary, Tilda and Josie! We were also served Lamingtons - white cake, dipped in a chocolate syrup and rolled in coconut - on all sides, top and bottom! YUM!!! Vince also made us baked Pavlova - filled with whip cream, kiwis and strawberries. More YUM!! Vince and I decided that we should only have eathen dessert and no supper. Thank you again for the fantastic supper and great hospitality!!

Ok..so I got a new iPad for Christmas and its great for checking Facebook, my email, and your blog...not necessarily in that order. Really, it is so much fun to check in with you guys. Vince has totally settled in to our school...he even survived the craziness of the ski trip! I'm sure you will be very happy there. He really speaks highly of the shool and the staff. Matilda and Josie played in their first basketball tournament on the weekend. They were great..we even won a game!

Hi Jackson Family - I loved seeing the pictures of you settling into the Boongarra Farm. Was glad to discover that the Boongarra Farm and Favorite Pictures tab also have great photos and wonderful tidbits of information! For those of you who haven't noticed you need to check it out. I'm thinking of you going back to school and will check the GEPS tab often. Looking forward to getting a glimpse at your new classrooms, friends, teachers and yes your school uniforms.
